Authority Model#

FIN operates as a private reference authority. Standards, registries, and verification frameworks are maintained internally under controlled governance. FIN does not operate as a consensus-based standards development organization. Standards are issued, not proposed.

Independence Statement#

FIN maintains operational independence from manufacturers, distributors, repair providers, insurers, and warranty administrators. FIN does not represent industry interests. FIN does not participate in lobbying, advocacy, or product promotion.

Decision Control#

All decisions regarding standard issuance, registry inclusion, test method validation, and compliance certification are made internally. FIN may consider external information at its discretion.

Non-Participation Clause#

FIN does not accept board membership, committee participation, or advisory roles from external organizations. FIN does not participate in joint ventures, partnerships, or collaborative governance structures.
